So many rules

At lunch yesterday I started to notice a tend.  There are A LOT of signs out there telling people what not to do.

Initially I was frustrated, why all the rules?  Them I actually thought about how cool it was.  People will actually not do something just because some letters on a sign say not to.

Have you ever ignored a sign??

  1. Unfortunately, without signs, a lot of people don't have the common sense to not do stuff, like park next to a railroad crossing.

  4. So true. I think that's why street art really works when it mimics or defaces signs. We get the message loud and clear, because we just consume that information so naturally now a days.

  5. once time..(in band camp.. I had to say it) anyway, one time I parked in a spot in NYC that said "no standing" and we got ticketed even though we were in the f****** car. We even said we would move but the cop stopped right in front of us so he wouldn't let us go. At that point we decided to just stay until we were done waiting on our friend. I mean.. were we really going to get another ticket?? Nope.
